A Mother's Hope for Her Children
— Rahaf
My family of nine lives in a tent, under extremely difficult circumstances. Yet, despite everything, my children continue to dream. When I asked them to draw what they wished for most, they drew a home, safety, peace, security, and freedom.

Telling Gaza's Story Through My Camera
— Aya
I am a journalism student who has always dreamed of telling stories, including my own. I picked up a camera because I wanted to do something with my hands and my eyes rather than simply wait. Photography gave me a way to express myself, document the world around me, and pursue a future I could build for myself and my family.
My daughter's name is Wateen Al-Rouh. I lost my husband while I was still pregnant with her. Wateen was born on July 26, 2025, by Caesarean section, in the middle of the war. I held my newborn daughter in my arms, knowing that her father would never have the chance to meet her.
My family's home is gone. It was the place where we felt safe, where our lives unfolded, and where we kept the things that mattered to us. Yet I keep reminding myself that the war has taken so much from us, but it has not extinguished the roots of hope in my heart.
These testimonies preserve individual experiences that deserve to be encountered with care. Each story offers a glimpse into a person's world, beyond the headlines and beyond the assumptions others may make about them.
